Little Library Parent and Child Invite
For all parents whose child is starting school in September, the Minister for Children has asked your local library to put together a gift of a bag of books just for them, with stories all about starting school. A library card and card wallet is also included in the bags. The library will have them available next week (from Monday 4th April) if you want to call in to visit the library and avail of one for your child.

Supporting Young People's Mental Health - online talk
Jigsaw in collaboration with the South Clondalkin CFSN and Coláiste Bríde will host a workshop Supporting Young People's Mental Health.
This 60-minute free workshop is for parents and other adults, interested and concerned about young people's mental health. This workshop takes place Wednesday April 6th 2022 @ 9.30-10.30am.
Participants will:
• Gain an understanding of the key issues impacting on a young persons' mental health and wellbeing
• Learn to promote positive mental health in young people
• Understand how to recognize some of the signs that a young person is struggling with their mental health
• Learn the value of listening to support young people

Nominate a Nursing Home for Christmas
We are asking our school community to nominate a nursing home where residents will receive a Christmas card from the girls and boys in Clonburris NS. We will be choosing 2 or 3 nursing homes to send cards to.
The nursing home can be in our local community, in another county in Ireland or in another country.

Internet Safety Week - 16th - 20th November
Barnardos Online Safety Webinar for Parents: Barnardos are hosting a free webinar for parents on online safety which will be run a few times over the coming weeks. This 45-minute session will give parents practical tips that will help them keep their children safe & resilient online. On Wednesday November 21st and November 28th we will be having two Christmas Craft Workshops in the HSCL Room.
People will get a chance to make two lovely Christmas decorations. All materials will be provided. Workshops will be from 9:30 - 11:30 am. Places are on a first come first served basis and will be limited to 12 places. This is always a very popular course so please book your place asap. FREE COURSE! 6 week course starting: Monday 17th September 9.30 a.m. - 12 p.m. HSCL Room The facilitator, Vivienne Smith, will cook the food and all participants get to share the delicious meal! A free cook book is given on completion of the course and participants also receive a certificate. This course also includes a visit from a dietician who will answer parents' queries.
