We are encouraging and raising awareness of the importance of healthy lunches in the school. Some children bring their own lunches, or bring extra food and drinks to school. Children should only bring water to drink (as in Glanmore lunches and as recommended by the dental nurse). Items containing chocolate are not allowed. Fruit winders, sugary rice krispie bars and other similar items should not be brought in either. A piece of fruit and vegetables each day is recommended. This is the ideal time for primary school children to learn about healthy eating for life. We are trying to promote this in Clonburris. Help us to help your children!
