A world of imagination - All the children (and the adults!!) had great fun at Imaginosity today and we were lucky enough to have time for Corkagh Park too.

REDUCE, REUSE, RECYCLE

Children were treated to a magic show which showed us all the importance of recycling. Great fun was had by all - children and teachers included!

GREEN FINGERS

We were learning how to grow tomatoes this April. We waited patiently for our seeds to grow. The children got to bring home their plants in May and have all been encouraged to look after their plants at home. We are looking forward to lots of tomato dishes this summer!

AISTEAR - HOSPITAL

Our doctors and nurses have been busy carrying out major operations and fixing broken bones and even broken hearts!

WINTER TIME

Winter is here and we can certainly feel it these days as the children are wrapping up in their hats, coats, scarves and gloves to play in the yard. We are learning all about winter in our Gaeilge and SESE lessons and getting to enjoy the snow during our Aistear time. The children have been creating winter scenes with our sensory/investigation area making it snow, building snowmen and creating all sorts of scenarios. Its winter on our farm and we are making sure to keep all the animals warm and fed and in our farmhouse. We have painted some beautiful winter scenes as we wait and hope for a white Christmas.

OUR BOOK CLUB

We have organised our very own book club here in senior infants where we get to read and share some of our favourite books with our friends. We all loved showing off how great we are at reading and our favourite part of course was the delicious hot chocolate!!

Houses and Homes

This month in our class our theme is Houses and Homes. We will be learning through stories, Aistear, history, writing and many other ways. During Aistear we will be creating home scenes in our role play area, building all sorts of houses and homes in our construction area and designing houses and homes in our creative area.

Halloween Fun

We all had lots of fun dressing up for Halloween. There was great excitement in the weeks leading up to it creating our skeletons and making our pom-pom monsters. We loved clearing out our pumpkins to get them ready for carving. We all got to show off our dance moves during our Halloween party!

SPACE WEEK
