Junior Infants 2020

Junior Infants - Induction Friday 28th August

Uniform sales: details here. Please try to purchase the uniforms on Tuesday or Wednesday if possible.
19th August 2020

Dear Parents,
In view of the new restrictions of 6 adults being allowed at an indoor meeting which were announced last night by NPHET, we have had to make some changes to our arrangements for the infant induction day on Friday 28th August.
  • You will still come to the school with your child at your allocated time.
  • Your child will be collected by their teacher, Ms Carolan, Ms Cleary and Ms Creed, from the Junior Infant Yard (at the church entrance to our school). They will remain with their teachers for 30 minutes and will then be dropped back to the yard.
  • Unfortunately parents will NOT be permitted to enter the school building so the parent meeting cannot now take place. The information that you would have received on the day will be emailed to you over the course of the next few days.
  • Uniforms will be on sale in the school hall on Tuesday 25th and Wednesday 26th of August from 10am – 12pm. You can also purchase them on Friday at your allocated time. Your children will wear their own clothes in to meet their teacher on Friday and wear their uniforms from Monday 31st of August.
  • School books can be paid for in the school on Friday 28th August at your allocated time or throughout the first week of school. You must bring the exact amount in a sealed envelope.
  • Junior infants will start at 10:00am and finish at 12:00pm on Monday 31st August until Friday 4th Sept.
  • From Monday 7th Sept until Friday 11th Sept, they will start at 8:45am and finish at 12:00pm. For these 2 weeks your child should be dropped off in and collected from the Junior Infant yard.
  •  It is intended that they begin to do the full week of school starting from Monday 14th of September, starting at 8:45am and finishing at 1:30pm.
We want to thank you for your patience and support as we reopen our school safely adhering to all COVID 19 health and safety advice and NPHET restrictions.
Kind regards,
Rachel Kerins
